Kirsti Gholson is a singer/songwriter and animal rights advocate who began making music in Philadelphia and now makes her home in a quarry of cats (& other beings) in Woodstock, NY. From the Wizard of Oz to melting ice caps, Kirsti weaves stories of love, loss and social justice from curious points of view. Her latest recording is under the name, "little green blackbird" - a character from a book of poems by Kenneth Patchen. She also records and performs as a back-up singer and a member of the overtone choral group, "Baird Hersey & Prana".
